Further success as Deborah Connor finished 4th in the Race to Woodall Spa event on 11th August.
She will now travel to Portugal in November to take part and represent Letchworth in the Overseas Final after finishing in 4th place last week.

The "Race to Woodhall Spa" is a nationwide amateur golf competition in England, culminating in a national final at the prestigious Woodhall Spa Golf Club. It's an inclusive event, open to all ages and handicaps, with club qualifying rounds leading to area finals and ultimately the grand finale at Woodhall Spa. The competition is sponsored by Your Golf Travel and organized by England Golf.
To calculate qualifiers for the Race to Woodhall Spa, clubs identify the top male and female adult player and top junior based on the lowest aggregate of their best four net score differentials from WHS qualifying competitions. This calculation is done using a report on the club's WHS platform. The winner at each club then qualifies for an area final, and the leading players from area finals advance to the national final at Woodhall Spa.
Letchworth was represented by Deborah Connor, Ian Underwood and Jacob Lovatt this year. Each making their way to area finals around the country in the month of June.
With only 5 spaces from each area final for men and women up for grabs, it was Deborah, who took part in the Wollaton Park area final, who secured her ticket to the Grand Final with an impressive 37 points and 2nd place.
The Grand Final is to take place on Monday 11th August 2025 and will be played on the Bracken Course at Woodall Spa.
