Neil McLauchlan - Head PGA Golf Professional

With over 20 years experience in the golf industry. Neil has recently taken over the Pro Shop after managing the biggest on course golf store in Hertfordshire at Chesfield Down Golf and Country Club for over 10 years plus coaching members and visitors.

In 2019 Neil became a PGA certified putting instructor and uses Capto technology to improve people's putting and short game as a main focus. He has been a qualified PGA professional for 11 years and has his foundation degree with the PGA. He has coached players of different ages and abilities whilst always striving to find the best solution for his pupils. Also an experienced custom fitter.

James Clark - Lead PGA Professional

James has enjoyed a career of 10 years in the golf industry, including 7 years coaching full time at the busy Chesfield Downs Golf & Country Club.  He has a wealth of experience coaching Juniors, adults, beginners, county players and Professionals. He continues to be a Hertfordshire Lead County Coach alongside his role at Letchworth. Placing importance upon positive relationships, James has a keen understanding not only of what makes a technically sound golfer, but also what drives a desire to improve.James covers all areas of the game from swing assessment, short game work and course management. He uses video to inform analysis and feedback, including on a remote basis. Each client has a uniquely tailored plan.

Matthew Bailey - PGA Professional

Matthew has just completed his final year of PGA Training and has plenty of experience within coaching. Having taught players of all abilities, he has created a strong local reputation for his standard of coaching.

Matthew also leads Letchworth GC's Junior Scholarship Programme for Junior golfers helping to develop some of the finest golfing talent in Hertfordshire
